Ed Coveney - Landscape Artist
Ed Coveney is a celebrated Irish landscape artist. He started his career by training as a master stonemason and during this apprenticeship in the granite Mourne Mountains of County Down excelled in traditional stone-working techniques, gaining a deep understanding of the medium.
Since then he has pushed the boundaries of stonemasonry to create dramatic contemporary sculptural monuments with deep roots in traditional techniques. His innovative and exclusive stone sculptures take their inspiration from native Irish standing stones and contemporary artists such as Richard Long and Joseph Beuys.
